HEALTH & SAFETY
At BCT Services (South) Ltd, we don’t look to meet our legal obligations, but aim to reach the highest practical standards. This has been partially demonstrated through achieving the British Safety Council’s international safety award with merit.
BCT’s communication, procedures training, systems and constant improvement activities are a result of our very proactive approach to ensure the health and safety of our people.Bespoke in-house training, consultations and safety briefings are continuously held by our safety team to maintain, update and improve our people’s knowledge.
Every member of our team understand our requirements and share the importance of health and safety. BCT’s open door policy ensures any issue can be openly raised to a member of the senior management team without repercussion.
We reward safety excellence through an in-house awards process, in which our senior management team raise and discuss good practice at our monthly health and safety committee meetings.
We have introduced a bespoke in house quality and document control IT system. This aids in our goal of perfect delivery (right first time approach) Some of the benefits to our clients are:
Real time data for our clients to access, including quality handover sheets, plant inspections, drawing updates, RFI’s.
How does the system work?
On award of a project all drawings and specifications are uploaded for the entire project team to start reviewing.
RFI’s are raised and issued to the client / technical department to resolve potential issues.
Once on site inspections are carried out in real time using tablets and phones. Including Quality Control checks as the build progresses. These are accessible by all involved and have a real time insight into progress and our standards of workmanship.
